Dallas textile designer – Elizabeth Anyaa

Elizabeth Anyaa

Elizabeth Anyaa is a warm and charming woman as well as an award winning textile designer. Tami and I were fortunate to meet her and visit her studio in Dallas while we were brainstorming at the Institute for Luxury home Marketing.

Originally from Sierra Leone, Liz studied textile design in Finland, where she received her B.A. in Fine Arts. Liz designs and creates textiles, often weaving metals , leather, straw and plastic into her weaving and felting. Some of her fabrics are for the home, and others are used in her clothing designs.

She’s a very talented lady – as well as a warm and giving woman. You can shop by Internet, but you’ll miss out on meeting her, which is a real treat. Besides,  her love is creating something to order for you.

    Sharon,
Elizabeth is indeed a talented young designer. Her scarves and shawls are one-of-a-kind and range from traditional to wildly creative. What they have in common is creativity and beautiful craftsmanship (Elizabeth makes her own fabrics.I have given her creations as special gifts and believe her clothing items may well become heirlooms. She also makes fun affordable coasters, table runners, hand painted shirts, pillows and other home items. One of Elizabeth’s fun things, which I’ve never seen anywhere else, are her eco-friendly “woolectable” soaps. These are French-milled soaps wrapped in hand felted merino wool. They are pretty; the wool is fungus free, green-friendly and once moistened, is a gentle exfoliator (and piece of art). You can use the bar down to the last sliver. It dries quickly in your soap dish. Great hostess gifts.
