Bayfront Tower Condominium – downtown St Petersburg, Florida
Bayfront Tower was the first “waterfront” condo in downtown St Petersburg, Florida. Built in 1975, it has nearly 250 residential units and 11 commercial units. The units on the east side of the building have magnificent views of Tampa Bay. Units range from 1,146 sq ft for a 1 bedroom unit up to 3,673 sq ft for a double unit. Bayfront Tower is unique in having its common areas on top of the building, on the 28th and 29th floors, so every resident can enjoy 360 degree views, from Tampa Bay to the Gulf of Mexico, sunrises and sunsets. Also unique to the building is the valet parking, which is included in the maintenance fee. As of April 1st, 7 units were listed for sale, from $279,900 to $579,000. So far in 2010 there have been 5 sales, ranging from $375,000 to $450,000. During 2009 there were 12 sales, from $195,000 to $520,000. As of April 1st, there were 3 units offered for rent, from $1,900/mo to $2,700/mo. In 2009 there were 8 units rented, from $1,200/mo to $2,700/mo.
Governor proposes at Bayfront Tower
July 4th, 2008 Categories: Bayfront Tower
Florida governor Charlie Crist maintains his residence at Bayfront Tower condominium in downtown St Petersburg. Yesterday he made news by formally proposing to his girlfriend, Carole Rome – and where did he propose? At Bayfront Tower! It’s likely that the wedding (no date announced yet) will be at the First United Methodist Church here in St. Petersburg. Crist, a prospect for vice president for McCain, had this to say: “I’m very, very happy. I love her.” Rome is likely to change the frugal governor – it remains to be seen if they move to a larger condo at Bayfront Tower or buy a larger waterfront home. Governor Charlie Crist is very visible in St. Petersburg, and very approachable.
