Peninsula Papagayo doing well

Papagayo Beach Club

Papagayo Beach Club

Peninsula Papagayo

in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, was the subject of a recent interview Kevin Brass of the International Property Journal recently had with Steve Grubba. Sales have increased this year at Peninsula Papagayo for single family homes, condo/villas and building lots. You may know this peninsula in northwest Costa Rica by the Four Seasons Resort at the tip of the Papagayo Peninsula. According to Grubba, the turnaround started in December 2009. Most of the current buyers are people planning to live in Costa Rica, or spend time there. The Four Seasons branded products have held  their pre-recession values. For the rest of the peninsula, lot prices are down about 30%, condos are down about 40%, and single family homes have held their value. The larger estate homes are in such demand that none are currently available.

Rob and I spent some time on the Peninsula Papagayo in January, had an extensive tour of the peninsula and looked at finished homes, homes under construction, condos, lots and the varied amenities.

What's it like to live in Costa Rica? Try it out at del Pacifico.

del Pacifico - between Jaco and Quepos in Costa Rica. Homes, condos and lots.

Choosing a vacation home or a retirement home is all about lifestyle. You can read the brochures, and you can tour a property for an hour, but how do you know what it would really be like to live there? Del Pacifico wants you to find out. At various times during the year, they host prospective buyers of Costa Rica condos, lots and single family homes at their Esterillos Este development on the shores of the Pacific coast in Costa Rica.

Fly in and they’ll do the rest. You’ll stay in one of the condos – you can see the quality, hear the sound conditioning, try out the plumbing. From an early morning coffee on your balcony, listening to the birds and watching the countryside change as the sun rises to cocktails and dinner by the pool or on the beach – you’ll feel what it’s like. They even take you grocery shopping! You’ll see the entire development, by horseback if you prefer that to a van. No hard sales pitch – just a quick overview of what’s there and how it came about. Then it’s up to you to taste the lifestyle. One great benefit is meeting people who have already bought there, as well as other prospective owners – you’ll really feel part of the diverse community.

The next gathering is January 14th – 18th, 2010. Contact The Simms Team for more information – and/or scroll down the left side and click on the direct link to del Pacifico. Try it – you might like it!

Costa Rica living: one of the pleasures of del Pacifico

Barry and Volcano enjoying the Costa Rica beach by del Pacifico

Costa Rica is a wonderful country for horses as well as people. Horses are an important part of the lifestyle at del Pacifico on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, by Esterillos – there’s a stable inside the gated development of del Pacifico with places you can ride for hours – including the beach.  I couldn’t resist sharing this photo from Barry Strudwick’s facebook page (click on the photo to go there).
If you want to taste the lifestyle at del Pacifico at one of their weekend Gatherings, contact The Simms Team for more information. Gatherings are scheduled for November 5-9, January 14-18 and February 11-15. Lots, condos and single family homes are available at del Pacifico – not just in drawings, but in reality. You can see and touch the finished homes and judge the quality yourself.

Experience the Costa Rica lifestyle

Del Pacifico Esterillos

Del Pacifico Esterillos

Costa Rica is about more than beautiful beaches, preservation areas and wildlife – it’s about the lifestyle. What are the cultural and recreational options? What about grocery stores and restaurants? What would my neighbors be like? Do I need to speak Spanish? What are the Costa Rican people like. Del Pacifico, a large gated community by the ocean on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, knows that deciding to buy a house, condo, or lot depends on the answers to these questions. They offer you the opportunity to attend a weekend Gathering, where you’ll meet other potential buyers as well as owners already living in Del Pacifico. It’s not a hard sell, no pressure – see the area by horseback or by air conditioned van. Contact The Simms Team now for dates and more information.

Vistas del Pacifico Playa Panama Costa Rica

Vistas del Pacifico is a gated, hillside community just 25 minutes from the Liberia International Airport in Guanacaste Costa Rica. Enjoy this community pool that overlooks Culebra Bay and the Papagayo peninsula. Choose from a luxury condominium, a luxurious home, or a lot for your dream home – all of them enjoy this pool, though most of the properties have their own private pool as well. Surrounded by nature, you’re just 5 minutes from Playa Hermosa and 10 miles from Playas del Coco.

If you don’t want the waves that attract the world’s surfers, Playa Panama is for you – it’s a great place to swim as the currents aren’t strong and the tide is often low.  The one mile beach is surrounded by atropical forest of sarno, brazilwood and other exotic trees. Several excellent restaurants are close by. Enjoy privacy and natural surroundings that are close to lots of amenities.
