Ovation, the newest luxury condominium in downtown St Petersburg, Florida, is rising every week. It’s currently at the 19th floor, heading toward its total of 27 stories. These large, luxurious residences are just two to a floor, so you get sunrise and sunset views. The top four floors are "penthouse" units, one per floor.
Completion is expected in 2009, and Ovation will be THE place to live. Located at the southwest corner of Beach Drive and 2nd Ave N (which continues out into Tampa Bay to The Pier), there’s city on one side and parks and waterfront on the other.
Just across the park is the St Petersburg Yacht Club and the St Petersburg City Marina, so you have options for keeping your boat only "a walk in the park" away.
Most of the residences are already contracted, but it’s not too late – for more information and buyer representation, contact The Simms Team of RE/MAX Metro at (727-896-1800 x 112)

Parkshore Plaza is the latest highrise to be completed on Beach Drive in downtown St. Pete. Developed by Opus, residents started moving in last August, 2006. Like its predecessors, The Florencia and The Cloisters, a strip of park separates the condos from the waterfront, and all have some retail shops on the ground level.
Parkshore Plaza takes up a half block of downtown St Pete, between Beach Drive and 1st St., from 3rd Avenue North to the alley dividing the block. The main entrance is on 3rd Avenue North. A circular drive curves around a unique fountain, and double glass doors lead to the lobby. A pleasant concierge is always available, and a sitting/reception room is adjacent to the lobby. More common areas are available on the third floor: a spacious outside area with a large, inviting swimming pool, an offset jacuzzi, a barbecue grilling area, and seating around an outdoor fireplace. Inside is a large gathering area with various seating groups, television, card playing areas, meeting rooms, a catering kitchen, a billiard room, a library and an expansive fitness center with more modern fitness machines than people using the room. City homes and townhouses share these lower levels. The tower of residences starts with the 4th floor, and most of the tower has four condo homes on each level, with elevator security that offers each condo privacy.
The water views of Tampa Bay (as well as views of St Pete) are magnificent, and the balconies just invite you to relax, sit down, and enjoy the paradise around you. The other big draw is the convenience – just steps from the entrance are excellent restaurants, shops, museums and parks – you’re only half a block from the 20 movie screens and entertainment at Baywalk.
Currently there are 20 condo units available. 19 of these are in the tower and range from $800,000 to $3,500,000. For $800,000 you can buy a 2 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home with 2,384 sq ft, on the sixth floor (water view, of course). For $3,500,000 you can buy a 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home with 5,600 sq ft on the 22nd floor. If you want to enjoy the amenities at a lower price, there is a townhome facing 1st St with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and 1,422 sq ft available for $569,000.
The next highrise condominium to be completed on Beach Drive will be 400 Beach, which currently has 2 homes offered, 1 at $1,950,000 and the other at $2,475,000.
Living in downtown St. Pete is very enticing to many people.
