Webb’s City Musical at The Palladium St Petersburg
May 15th, 2009 categories: Events, Lifestyle
Last night George, Tami and I enjoyed Webb’s City: The Concert Version at The Palladium Theater in downtown St Petersburg. I remember back when Webb’s City store/mall/entertainment covered 10 city blocks in downtown St Petersburg. It’s hard now to imagine a store that huge in downtown St Pete. The musical covered Doc Webb’s life, as well as the Bust and Boom period of St Petersburg, starting back in the 1920s. The Palladium is also a beautiful building to enjoy, with its classic architecture. We’re grateful to St Petersburg College for making this venue possible. I even heard SPC president Carl Kuttler referred to as the Doc Webb of today’s downtown.
You still have a chance to see the performance – it runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend, May 15-17.
